This Privacy Policy explains how Zuops (“Zuops”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit zuops.com, use our apps and API, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”).
Zuops is a tool businesses use to market themselves and to follow up with their own leads and customers. Section 1 explains whose information is whose, and Section 5 explains how we treat the information you keep about your leads and customers.
A plain-language summary. The full text below is what applies.
Zuops is based at 522 W Riverside Ave Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201, USA.
If a business contacted you through Zuops, that business decides how your information is used, so please send privacy requests to it. If you contact us instead, we’ll pass your request to the business and help it respond. We honor requests to stop texts ourselves (see Section 6).
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Services and in marketing them responsibly, your consent (which you can withdraw), and our legal obligations.
Zuops uses AI for features such as creating ads, images and video, scoring ads, assistants that reply to and call your leads, and call summaries and recommendations.
Customer Data belongs to the business that collected it. For Customer Data, we:
In an agency or white-label setup, the agency and its client control the sub-account’s data. The agency’s team can see the sub-accounts it manages, and client users see only the sub-accounts they’ve been given.
When people text with a business through Zuops, we process their phone number, their messages and their consent and opt-out records, to deliver the messages and honor opt-outs.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This information is used only to deliver messages, through the carriers and service providers that carry them.
Anyone can reply STOP to stop texts from a business, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We keep opt-out records so the request continues to be honored.
We protect information with safeguards including:
No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your login and the access you give your team. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires, without undue delay.
You can update most account information in the app, and you can unsubscribe from our marketing emails with the link in any of them (service messages continue while you have an account).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, get a portable copy, restrict or object to some uses, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising, and appeal our decision on your request. To use these rights, email privacy@zuops.com from your account email. We’ll verify your request and respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
If your request is about Customer Data (for example, you’re a lead of one of our customers), we’ll refer it to that business and help it respond.
In the last 12 months we collected the categories of information described in Section 2: identifiers (such as name, email, phone and IP address), commercial information (such as plans and purchases), internet activity (such as usage data), approximate location from IP address, audio recordings where call recording is turned on, and professional information (such as business name and industry). We collect them from the sources and use them for the purposes in Sections 2 and 3, and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 7. We don’t sell personal information. Our advertising tools (Section 8) may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, which you can opt out of as described there. We don’t use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority. The legal bases we rely on are in Section 3, and transfers are covered in Section 12.
Zuops is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the US and other countries. Where the law requires, we protect transfers with safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
The Services are for businesses and aren’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we’ll delete it. Contact privacy@zuops.com if you believe a child has given us information.
You may choose to connect a Google account to Zuops. This section explains exactly what we do with data received from Google APIs when you do.
Google data is used only to provide the features described above. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are never shown to users or shared with other customers or third parties. Google data isn’t used for advertising, isn’t sold, isn’t used to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and isn’t read by our staff except with your explicit permission to resolve a support request, or where required for security or legal compliance. Where a Google-connected feature involves an AI assistant (for example offering a lead the times that are free on your calendar, or drafting a reply to a Google review), only the data needed for that feature is processed, and only to deliver it.
You can disconnect Google at any time from the matching settings page in Zuops, or by removing Zuops’ access in your Google Account permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the stored tokens right away. Appointment events already written to your Google Calendar, and replies, posts and photos already published to your Business Profile, stay there under your control.
Zuops’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
If you connect Facebook or Instagram, this is what we do with data we receive from Meta.
Depending on the features you use:
Meta data is used only to provide those features to you. It isn’t sold, isn’t used for our own advertising, and isn’t used to train AI models. Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are never shown in the app.
You can disconnect Meta in Zuops, which deletes the stored connection and its access tokens, or remove Zuops in your Facebook settings under Business Integrations. To delete the data we’ve received from Meta, email privacy@zuops.com from your account email and we’ll delete it within 30 days. Leads and messages already added to your CRM are Customer Data and stay there until you delete them.
If you connect a Zoom account so appointments booked through Zuops get their own Zoom meeting, we access your Zoom user ID and email address (to show which account is connected) and the meetings Zuops creates on your account (to store their join links with your appointments). We don’t read recordings, chat, contacts or meetings we didn’t create.
Zoom data is used only to create and show appointment meeting links. It isn’t sold, isn’t used for advertising and isn’t used to train AI models, and tokens are stored encrypted at rest. You can disconnect Zoom in Zuops or remove the app in the Zoom App Marketplace; either way we delete the stored tokens and your Zoom ID and email. Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. If we make a material change, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
